If you are here, that means you have found a banner similar to this:

Whoops!

Unfortunately, the English version of this post does not exist yet. Details

…or you looked into my robots.txt and accessed here directly. OMG U HAX!

If that’s not the case, you have found a Japanese post which I haven’t translated yet.

Untranslated posts have the following properties:

  • It shows up in the top page with the banner above.
  • It is missing the post preview
  • You can still click the title to read the article in the original language it was written in.

There are several reasons why the post goes untranslated, but to name a few:

  • If it’s a technical post
    • I also post the same thing on DEV.to for English one and Qiita for Japanese one, and I try to post it at as the same time as possible. It may be currently being translated and adapted to the corresponding sites. They have different styling system and sometimes I have to convert a lot of stuff before I can post.
    • The issue at hand is so dependent on that language and translating to others doesn’t provide any value.
  • If it’s a non-technical post
    • Posts like event appearance may not be translated to English.
  • Or my site publishing pipeline crashed and I’m having trouble delivering contents
  • Or I’m just lazy / having a mental breakdown / etc.

If you really want to have a post translated, you can reach me at Twitter DM. I may consider it.
